Exquisitely stylish tailoring. Decorative buttons at round notched lapel and back down the center pleat. Vertical pockets. Midnight blue satin lining. Self fabric belt. Heavy cotton or cotton poplin. Buttons imitate an antique coin known as the Maria Theresa thaler. They read Archid. Avst. Dux Burg. Co. Tyr. 1780 X which stands for Archduchess of Austria, Duchess of Burgundy, Countess of Tyrol. No label but based on the buttons, I believe the coat is from Austria. Very good vintage condition overall. A few minor spots and smudges near bottom hem. Most notable is one larger, 4 inch smudge mark on the back about half way down from the waist. Nothing detracts significantly from this gorgeous piece but price has been adjusted accordingly.
