Oddly I just had what would have been the sister to this gown a few weeks ago same fabric but with a slightly different bust! I absolutely love the color of this piece it's a rich combination of a silk peach base with a swirling design of gold and silver delicately woven through the fabric. The cut is fairly simple with no sleeves and a scooped neckline. The waist nips in and the skirt is set with spaced inverted pleating so you don't get any bulk around the middle but the skirt is still allowed to widen as it reaches to the floor in one beautiful sweep. A wide sash in the same fabric is attached around the waist and a huge flat bow sits just above it. The dress has a fantastic romantic, pretty and light feel, but is still regal and beautiful. Excellent condition. Bust: 17. 5" flat across the back from side seam to side seam Waist: 14" flat across the back from side seam to side seam Hips: open Bodice length: 13. 5" from shoulder to waist Skirt length: 35" from waist seam to the bottom of the hem Fully lined through the bodice in a a matching peach silk, the skirt is unlined. It closes with a back painted metal zipper. Perhaps a touch richer in color in person. Hand finishes. There is a touch of breakage to the silk lining near the top neckline inside but it is still sound.
