We are all aware of the pressures that NHS services are under which has led to patients complaining about the difficulty in getting appointments, being unable to see their preferred doctor, limited to only one problem per consultation, being rushed with short consultation times. These issues have all led to compromise in the quality of the holistic care to the patient.

Our GP service aims to provide a personal service where the patient-doctor relationship is the key focus. Building up the relationship between the patient and doctor is essential and patients can choose the same doctor each time if they wish. We have a simple philosophy of approaching you as an individual and aim to deliver holistic care which is responsive to your needs and preferences. Patients have a choice of male or female General Practitioners who are experienced in managing a variety of medical problems.

Avicenna Health is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This is a compulsory requirement of any healthcare provider.

We provide a range of medical services including consultations for acute or chronic medical problems with provision of sick notes or referral letters if needed. We also offer blood tests, health protection vaccinations, ear syringing or microsuction, family planning & health checks. If you have any other requirements, please contact us as we always aim to meet the needs of our patients wherever possible.

On booking an appointment, patients can choose between standard appointments or extended appointments. The patients can request which doctor they will see.

Our doctors are experienced local GP’s who have qualified and trained in the UK. They have all attained Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners and hold GMC registration and are DBS checked.

Our doctors are passionate about General Practice and thoroughly enjoy caring for their patients and families. They want to be able to provide a service which aims to return to the days when General Practitioners had time to speak to and get to know their patients and become a trusted advisor to the family.

Most importantly, they recognise the importance of communicating with their patients and involving the patient in the decision making process to help the patient understand their condition. They always work in the best interest of the patient to achieve the best possible outcomes.
